Last night I was up pretty late talking to a friend that wanted to know how I stay so positive through all that I’ve been through, especially since my son passed away and I really had to think about it 🙄🤔.
My friend is the type of person that always goes straight to the negative about almost everything. She doesn’t think the world is against her yet she does go straight to the “what if’s” immediately.
Last night she asked me what she could do to change her mindset to being more like mine.. More positive and stop going to the “what if’s” all the time and I said:
“Laugh hard at the yuck, when things happen find a solution and move on… immediately!” 🤔..
Now I’m not always positive, yet I try my best not to think of the “what if this or that happens” cause I feel I’d never get anywhere thinking like that…
When something happens I usually laugh.. Hard.. cause crying over spilt milk doesn’t clean it up 😉 🙄.
I’m fully aware that shit happens that we don’t expect and I sure don’t look at the world through rose colored glasses, yet I don’t assume the worst ever.
I basically live moment by moment and when things happen I immediately look for a solution and never ever do the poor pitiful me or why me thing cause I don’t believe things happen TO ME…
I just believe that shit happens 😀😎😀. (Sounding a little Forrest Gump here 😁)
So this morning when I woke up I tried to think of something that could make her laugh when shit happens and I immediately thought of this poem, made a pic and sent it to her…
I told her to hang it up and anytime something happens and she finds herself going to the negative, go look in a mirror and say
“Hello My name is _____ and I’m a recovering negative thinker!”
When she got the photo she said all she could do was laugh and it worked… 😀😎
So my friends…
Today if drama comes calling, respond but don’t react.. Cause laughter and a big huge smile will stop negative thinking in it’s tracks 😀😂😂.
