Mistakes Are Just Lessons

To Slow Down And Take Your Time

Hello World 🌻 Happy Day My Friends πŸ˜πŸ’–πŸ˜

We always tend to be so hard on ourselves whenever we make a mistake, yet since I started converting the bus 10 months ago, I’ve definitely learned that mistakes are truly lessons!!! They tell us to slow down, step back and take our time…

Yet rarely do we listen! πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ€”

Before I was supposed to hit the road last week, I had decided I wanted to take the wheelchair ramp out of the bus! For a couple reasons…

1. it’s was in my way to sit on my bed with the back door open and look out

2. It was really really heavy and taking it out (according to my mechanic) would give me better gas mileage cause it was a 1000 pounds in steel that I didn’t want anyway 😁

SO we took it out…

Which also gave me 2 feet more room inside 😁😁😁😁….

After I took it out of course my designing brain went into effect and I decided to push my bed all the way back against the back wall and extend the bench and make it an L shape 😁 (pics to follow after it’s done) πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜πŸ˜‰

Needless to say I took measurements, headed to Lowe’s, got the wood I needed, had them do the long cuts so they were straight lol

Of course I measured a tad off so I had to recut the pieces myself and yep messed up lol

So back to Lowe’s I went (laughing the whole time) to get the piece I messed up (this time I made them cut it lol).πŸ˜‚

My point in all this is:

Making mistakes are a part of life and we all make them…

We can either let it get us all worked up, pissed off and let it ruin our day

We can look at it as a lesson to slow down, take our time and get back on track!

I personally laugh them off cause it’s my own fault for rushing in the first place lol..

So my friends don’t let a mistake ruin your whole day.. it’s just a mistake not the end of the world!!! πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰

Have a beYOUtiful day world 🌻

Hello World, My name is Ricci pronounced like Ricky, yet it's been mispronounced all my life and at my age I answer to just about anything 😊 I am a writer, a writer of motivational light. A writer about everyday life. My story is one of hope, inspiration & motivation... One that begins over a half a century ago, when life was much different than it is today. We all have our own story, for each of us is unique. Some have had it easy, some have had it hard. Yet I believe that each one of our stories can bring a bit of light to others and I hope mine will bring light to some of you. My goal is to tell my story with hope that others can see that no matter what happens throughout your life... You CAN prevail, even when it feels like you can't. For I know it's possible, even after the loss of a child, which to me is the most devastating life event ever... I know for I have and am prevailing each and every day. It isn't easy and there are days where I feel I cannot go on yet always know that You are NOT alone... Everything is possible when you believe. Everything is possible when you believe in YOU ❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀

  1. Maybe this current delay will make the bus more comfortable. I believe that sometimes our subconscious recognizes things our conscience mind ignores, but the subconscious doesn’t give up and can get quite nasty if we ignore it for too long. Then we start doing things that stop us from making progress until we pay attention to what we should have been hearing all along.
Like the husband whose wife often told him to do things that didn’t make sense to him (turn the oven off and the cupboard door will stay closed, shake the broom and the cat will come inside). Then one day he was trying to get the toaster to work and it just wouldn’t work. He asked his wife what to do, and she shouted advice from the children’s room where she was putting away some clothes. After several minutes, he went to his wife and said, “I changed my shoes and the toaster still won’t work.”
She stared at him. “Why did you change your shoes?” she asked.
“You told me to,” he replied, puzzled.
“No, I told you the change the fuse.”

So, when I mess up, I check to see if I’ve changed the fuse.

    1. I totally know it was not only my subconscious telling me it wasn’t time to hit the road yet, but I believe it was also a sign from the universe… It took me many years to learn to listen to my gut so to speak and now I do all the time! I love your example too… Thank you… I am grateful πŸ’–πŸ€—πŸ™πŸ€—πŸ’–

      1. The universe speaks gently or firmly, depending on the situation. Sometimes it even shouts. I recall one occasion on which I felt as though I’d been grabbed by the shoulders and forced to turn in a different direction.

      2. Omg yes yes yes I felt that way the day I drove away.. even before I got in the bus… Something shouted no it’s not time as soon as I woke up.. I seriously thought it was my neighbors and sure enough I had no brake lights or headlights and my speedometer wasn’t working either so 3 miles away from my son’s I turned around and went back and as soon as I pulled up it was like a weight was lifted off my shoulders… Yeah I’ve had those experiences before too… I just try my best to listen to them now but lol πŸ’–
