Don’t Get Discouraged

When Things Don’t Go YOUR Way

Hello World 🌻 Happy Day My Friends

After posting about my latest setback with the bus and about my belief about timing…I got a lot of comments about how people admired my tenacity, strength and perserverence as well as my staying positive through it all πŸ€”

It made me look back on everything that has happened since I brought the bus home and I actually looked back on my whole life πŸ€”

All my life people have said that I was tenacious and I never really thought about it until today…

I’ve always been a go getter when it comes to something I want and I’ve never ever been a quitter… It’s just not in my nature to do so…

So I guess I am tenacious πŸ˜‚

Yet for me there is no other way…

I never understood why people give up so easily on their dreams and it’s never ever crossed my mind to do so, especially with this bus project.

My point in all this is:

We all have the drive and the power to achieve whatever we want to achieve…

Perserverence is in our blood…

It’s truly part of our makeup and who we are..

Sometimes we just need to reach deep to find it.. πŸ˜‰πŸ’ͺπŸ˜‰..

So do not get discouraged when things don’t go your way… Keep on doing what you need to do and go about your day..

Cause life is like an obstacle course with lots of ups and downs.. So don’t let setbacks stop you.. Stay strong and stand your ground!! πŸ’ͺπŸ’–πŸ’ͺ

Have a beautiful day world πŸ’–

Hello World, My name is Ricci pronounced like Ricky, yet it's been mispronounced all my life and at my age I answer to just about anything 😊 I am a writer, a writer of motivational light. A writer about everyday life. My story is one of hope, inspiration & motivation... One that begins over a half a century ago, when life was much different than it is today. We all have our own story, for each of us is unique. Some have had it easy, some have had it hard. Yet I believe that each one of our stories can bring a bit of light to others and I hope mine will bring light to some of you. My goal is to tell my story with hope that others can see that no matter what happens throughout your life... You CAN prevail, even when it feels like you can't. For I know it's possible, even after the loss of a child, which to me is the most devastating life event ever... I know for I have and am prevailing each and every day. It isn't easy and there are days where I feel I cannot go on yet always know that You are NOT alone... Everything is possible when you believe. Everything is possible when you believe in YOU ❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀

      1. Damn Yankees, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, The Hallelujah Trail (not really a musical but has lots of music), West Side Story… could be a very long list!

      2. Ah, Brigadoon… the memories I have from a local production of that one! New good musicals? None that I know of, but I’m going to keep looking and hoping anyway. Maybe you and I will have to write and compose one.

  1. I wonder how many people don’t have any real dreams or goals. Many have little goals (finish work today and be first at the bar for Happy Hour) or impossible dreams (grow angel wings and fly). The bigger goals and possible dreams take longer than today and maybe longer than this decade, and sometimes other things intervene and are thought to be more important (my family needs my income, I need that operation on my back first, my friend needs my help to recover from a horrendous experience) and the dreams and goals become faded. Sometimes the dream you think will get you what you really want turns to dust when you discover that it’s taking you further away from your heart’s goal.
Sometimes dreams change, too. I’m really grateful that I didn’t get some of the things I thought I wanted as a child!

I suspect that many people accept a goal that others set for them, and because it’s not really their own goal, it’s easy to give up on it. Although they continue to fake their enthusiasm so well that even they don’t know they’re faking it, it’s simply not their own dream, or their own goal. Trying to fulfill someone’s else’s goal as though it were your own is very draining. It can discourage a person from doing anything at all toward their own dream.

There are those who are afraid to succeed, thinking that if they do, they will lose the friendship and companionship that is presently everything to them. One of the first things that happened to me when I began doing something I enjoy is that I changed as an individual, and all my friends left my life. On the upside, my siblings are cheering me on because they like the change in me! And I have to admit, I’m flattered when men young enough to be my children cheer me on, too.

Pursuing one’s goals can change a person. Not everyone will like that change. Sometimes people don’t like the change in themselves.

    Just some musings.

    hope the link works!

    1. I totally agree… This has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember and I never thought I’d accomplish it cause of my career, my kids etc and now that I’m pursuing it it feels amazing… I know this journey is going to change me in many ways.. it already has in a lot… I’m looking forward to the changes too πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ˜˜πŸ’–πŸ˜˜
