Courage vs Fear

Choose To Be Courageous

Hello World and Happy Day My Friends πŸ€—

So many people tell me I’m courageous for wanting to embark on a van living life being a solo female and it made me think about what the word actually means πŸ€”πŸ€”

COUΒ·RAΒ·GEOUS — kΙ™ΛˆrājΙ™s/adjective

Not deterred by danger or pain; brave.

Hmmmmm πŸ€”

I think the key words in this definition are: “Not Deterred” which I believe is true when it comes to me being courageous…

It’s not that I don’t have my fears when it comes to embarking on a solo van life… It’s just that I refuse to allow fear to stop me from living my dream. 😁

Fear is a bitch and I’ve learned that it can and will stop you from accomplishing anything if YOU allow it too…

Yet once you push past it… You realize there was nothing to be fearful of in the first place πŸ™„

Learning to be courageous is not a hard thing to do… All it means is that you refuse to allow anything to fully stop you…

Being courageous is powerful and shows that you’re not afraid too try… So learn to be courageous and don’t let fear stop you from reaching the sky πŸ™‹πŸ™‹πŸ™‹πŸ™‹

Have a beautiful and courageous day πŸ’—

Hello World, My name is Ricci pronounced like Ricky, yet it's been mispronounced all my life and at my age I answer to just about anything 😊 I am a writer, a writer of motivational light. A writer about everyday life. My story is one of hope, inspiration & motivation... One that begins over a half a century ago, when life was much different than it is today. We all have our own story, for each of us is unique. Some have had it easy, some have had it hard. Yet I believe that each one of our stories can bring a bit of light to others and I hope mine will bring light to some of you. My goal is to tell my story with hope that others can see that no matter what happens throughout your life... You CAN prevail, even when it feels like you can't. For I know it's possible for I have and am prevailing each and every day. You are NOT alone... Everything is possible when you believe. Everything is possible when you believe in YOU ❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀ https://www.gofundme.com/riccis-healing-journey

  1. Without fear, there is no courage. A child may walk into a lion’s den, but it would take a very brave man to go to its rescue. (quote borrowed from Edgar Rice Burroughs)
There is rational fear that can save your life (get away from that rattlesnake!) and irrational fear that is based almost entirely on negative what-ifs that can ruin all your fun. What if people laugh at a fat, funny-looking old woman who gets up and dances by herself? Well, the laughers will have more fun that evening, and so will the old woman. It’s a win-win. What if you have trouble on your journey? Well, of course you will have some unexpected adventures. Isn’t that one of the reasons you want to go?

    1. Exacalacky Susan… There is good fear… Or is it instinct??? I pull into a campground and something just isn’t right… That fearful feeling I get would (if I’m smart) drive elsewhere… I see a bear outside while I’m boondocking… Im sure not gonna go cuddle with him… (Even though it would be cool if he was tame lol) there’s definitely a good type of fear… And luckily I have the ability to know the difference πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰

      1. That instinctive fear is a good one to develop. It can be difficult to not overdevelop it, and difficult to tell the difference sometimes. Often, if I’m tired, I get a lot of fearful thoughts. What they really mean is, “Go to bed and get a good sleep!” lol
