Planning Can Be Stressful

And Overwhelming Too

Hello World & Happy Day My Friends πŸ’—πŸ€—

It’s really frustrating sometimes when you’re trying to plan things out and you feel like you’re going in circles cause you don’t really know where to start..πŸ€”πŸ™„

Since I got the bus and even before that, I’ve been saving all the places I want to see in my journey and OMG there’s over 205 places at National Parks, Forests and Monuments that I want to go to and that’s not counting all the people I want to see along the way 😱

So I started making a list of the places, where they are, what parks or forests they are in blah blah blah and omg I’m a confused mess hahahaha πŸ˜±πŸ€”πŸ™„

In Olympic National Park alone there’s like 35 places I want to see…

So I need to make calls to the ranger stations to find out which campground is centrally located to see the most etc…

Building the bus is easy…

Figuring out where to start, where to camp etc is gonna be the death of me ha πŸ€”πŸ™„πŸ˜±

Some just say wing it…

Which would be ok if I knew the areas or have been there before but NOOOOOOOO my Virgo ass wants things planned out… 😠😱😠 And I have all the van lifers and photographers that I follow on Instagram and YouTube to thank for my confusion aka @swagginscottricks the main culprit hahahaha…

Stop posting all these beautiful places before my list gets out of control hahaha…

Shit it already is out of control…

205 places?? Really??? 😱😱😱

Needless to say… Time to make a pros and cons list, do a little research and get organized cause my journey is right around the corner … Any suggestions are more than welcome hahahaha πŸ˜±πŸ€”πŸ™„

Hello World, My name is Ricci pronounced like Ricky, yet it's been mispronounced all my life and at my age I answer to just about anything 😊 I am a writer, a writer of motivational light. A writer about everyday life. My story is one of hope, inspiration & motivation... One that begins over a half a century ago, when life was much different than it is today. We all have our own story, for each of us is unique. Some have had it easy, some have had it hard. Yet I believe that each one of our stories can bring a bit of light to others and I hope mine will bring light to some of you. My goal is to tell my story with hope that others can see that no matter what happens throughout your life... You CAN prevail, even when it feels like you can't. For I know it's possible, even after the loss of a child, which to me is the most devastating life event ever... I know for I have and am prevailing each and every day. It isn't easy and there are days where I feel I cannot go on yet always know that You are NOT alone... Everything is possible when you believe. Everything is possible when you believe in YOU ❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀

  1. Oh, oh, oh…. me, too. There are so many possibilities that it’s overwhelming. Sort of. Well, not really. It’s more a matter of setting priorities and accepting that in one lifetime there is a limit to what we can do. The first thing to do (in a way, I’m talking to myself here) is to realize that no human being is God. We have some truly wonderful abilities, it’s true, and few of us even try to make the most of our abilities, resources, and opportunities, but we still have limits.
I’m asking myself some questions to make my own whelm shrink to manageable size: What is my first priority? My most important target of this life right now? (I say “target” instead of goal, because a goal is too specific. With a target, I get points for hitting the target: I don’t have to get the bullseye). What path will best help my aim? What tools will be most valuable? What can I do right now, this minute, to make progress?
There are many variables along the way that are not within my ability to predict. It’s nice to think of these as guideposts to keep me heading toward the real target (the one God has for me). Or, to borrow from my cousin, “I do my best to carry out my plan, but if something stops me, it’s because it was meant to stop me and something better is going to happen.”
I hope this helps you. Writing it out like this has helped me… You’re welcome. And Thank you.

    1. I freaking adore you Susan… I totally agree and as for my bus journey after looking at my list yesterday I realized that a lot of the places I want to see are within one specific park which is actually doable… I also looked at it like going to an amusement park or Disney World… When I took my children to Disney World we did so many things yet didn’t get to see a lot too and we were there for 10 days… 5 yrs later we decided to go again and combine the Disney Cruise with it this time… while at the park we focused on seeing the things we didn’t see before and some of our favorites from the last time and it worked.. So for me although I have 205 places I want to see…I don’t have a time frame on how long I have to stay in one specific place and if I miss something, I can always go back at a later date… Targets… Love that and YOU πŸ’—πŸ€—πŸ’—
